Still no change. No reponse from township.

Another week and still no change or response from the township...

It has been over three months now since the additional markings have been in place. To date the issue is still present - speeding, aggressive driving, and cut-thru volume. E-mailing and following up on those emails have resulted in no responses from the township, the PD on how this issue is being further addressed. A response was received from the township traffic engineer but no follow-up from his own comment has been seen.

I see the mobile speed sign is in place but appears that it, nor the additional line markings are making any noticeable impact. I would also like to note that I do appreciate the sign being placed and any enforcement that is attempted. I understand that with the current circumstances with COVID-19 I would prefer to see those types of issues receive the focus they need over non-critical issues such as these. As things return to normal I would like to return the focus to this issue.

Wayne - can I ask, what is the device you are using in your proof pictures? I would like to invest in something to help the cause. I know you are seeing far worse offenses on Ft Washington, but I do think the cut through traffic is contributing to the problem.

We have talked to several of our neighbors on Terrace over the past few weeks and they said there was a serious accident on our bend (before we moved in) + they have been in conversations for years with the town about concerns on Terrace, Bell and Ft W. They also said the stop signs used to be on Terrace, but when they asked why they were moved they were told “they don’t believe in 4 way stops”.

Even reading that there was surveillance of the area completed on my original post, I’ve been home most days and can’t confirm seeing anyone doing research. I will be filling out that PDF to continue the conversation, but also want evidence.

Lauren, thanks for reaching out. I would love to see a combined effort amongst the residents within our subdivision to address this issue. I am often told by township officials that I am the only one submitting complaints but I have a very hard time believing this. Do you have any established webpage or mailing list to coordinate communication? I would be happy to assist if needed. To your original question, the device displayed is a Bushell Speedster III. It's a Radar gun and digital sign that pair wirelessly. I have used it on several occasions to collect data as you have seen. Please feel free to reach out again.
